Conservation
The San Joaquin River below Friant Dam supports a variety of wildlife and a diverse riparian forest that is over one-half-mile wide in some locations. Preserving the flood plain, wetlands, and riparian associated grasslands is critical to maintaining clean water and the river's ecological health. With careful planning, we acquire land and provide trails and public access so that this community treasure can be enjoyed. Follow the links at left to find out more about the River Parkway Trust's conservation activities.
