COME JOIN US AT THE RIVER!

River Stewards are volunteers who are instrumental in maintaining the San Joaquin River Parkway. River Stewards are the driving force of the River Parkway Trust’s Land Stewardship programs, which include habitat restoration, removal of invasive exotic plants, trail maintenance, and river cleanup events. Training is provided for each project. The Workdays are typically the first Saturday of the month and last from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteers meet at the Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies at 11605 Old Friant Road unless otherwise noted. If you are planning to attend an upcoming workday and you are a new volunteer, please print and fill out a copy of our Volunteer Service Agreement and bring it with you to the workday. This is especially important for volunteers under the age of 18--you must bring a release signed by your parent or guardian in order to participate. If you are participating in an activity that includes canoeing, please download the Canoe Liability Release and bring it with you on the day of the event.

*NEW* We are now including our monthly River Stewards newsletters on the website. Follow the links at the bottom of the page to read the latest news or add your name to our River Stewards newsletter list.
