Celebrate Columbus Day by joining the River Parkway Trust and guide Judy Johnson to explore Lost Lake Park. This will be an easy, slow moving hike with an emphasis on birding. Participants will travel a distance of approximately 1 mile over 1.5-2 hours. There will be lots of stops to listen for bird calls, set up spotting scopes, and allow everyone time to practice their bird identification. Some loaner binoculars will be available for use, but it is recommended participants bring their own.
Guide Judy Johnson is a retired entomologist and avid birder who has been leading nature walks for the River Parkway Trust for several years.
We will be meeting at the River Center at 8:30 am, and will carpool to nearby Lost Lake Park. Please dress appropriately and bring water and a small snack. Good hiking shoes are recommended.
