River Steward volunteers help with habitat restoration, removal of invasive exotic plants, trail maintenance, and river cleanup events. The River Stewards program is great for groups or individuals. No prerequisites or long term commitments are necessary; just sign up and be ready to enjoy a day in the San Joaquin River Parkway.

October 6, 2018 River Cleanup at Sycamore Island in memory of Gavin Gladding
Join the River Parkway Trust and Sydney Helm as we get together to clean up the San Joaquin River to honor the life of a former colleague, educator, and mentor, Gavin Gladding. This event will run from 9:00am until 12:00pm and is suitable for groups and individuals of all ages.
October 20, 2018 Invasive Plant Removal at Fresno's River West
Join us as we continue our efforts to help the San Joaquin River Restoration Program by ridding our local waterways of the invasive plant, scarlet wisteria. This species crowds out important native species reducing biodiversity, provides poor quality habitat, and much more. This event will run from 9:00am until 12:00pm and is suitable for groups and individuals ages 12 and up. All equipment is provided.
