Sarah Parkes began working with the River Parkway Trust as a college intern in September 2006. On her second day, the San Joaquin River Restoration settlement agreement was announced, and she helped put together a press conference. Since becoming part of the regular staff in 2007, Sarah has worked in various capacities including outreach and media relations, Parties for the Parkway, and fund development. Sarah now serves as the Trust's Program Director and is in charge of implementing and overseeing the Trust’s education and community programs. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and the National American Humanics Certification in non-profit management, and she received the President’s award for her work as an intern with the Trust. Sarah is a native of Fresno and is grateful to be part of such an important local organization. |
