Help us celebrate this year's Coastal Cleanup Day and the Great Sierra River Cleanup on the San Joaquin River. Since 1985, thousands of volunteers have gathered on this day to remove over 15 million pounds of trash from California's coast and water ways!

The San Joaquin River stretches over 350 miles; from its headwaters in the Sierras, across the Central Valley, and into the San Francisco Bay-Delta. Supplying water to over 25 million homes and 3 million acres of farmland, the San Joaquin River plays an essential role in communities across California. Together, on Coastal Cleanup Day, we can help keep our River clean and our communities healthy.

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust together with the Friends of Lost Lake Park will host land based cleanups at four sites along the San Joaquin River. Check out a map of the cleanup sites here. Volunteers can join in on the cleanup by signing up online or by calling 559-248-8480 ext. 106.
Important Information
If you plan to attend the cleanup, please remember the following:
- Bring your signed waiver form. Folks under the age of 18 will need to have the form signed by a parent or guardian to participate.
- Wear sturdy shoes or boots.
- Dress long - long pants, socks, and sleeves will protect you from the elements.
- We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle and a good pair of work gloves.
- Review or bring along a map to the volunteer meeting area for your site.
- Volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
