Volunteering
Fill out your volunteer hours with us!

From the beginning, volunteers have played a vital role in the development of the San Joaquin River Parkway. Today, more than ever, volunteers play a key role in all aspects of the Trust's mission.
In each of our focus areas, there is a need for those who want to help out occasionally and for those who can make the commitment to one of our ongoing programs.
Thank you for your interest in helping to make the San Joaquin River Parkway a reality!
Each volunteer opportunity will require you to bring a volunteer service agreement form on the day of service in order to ensure your safety and participation in our event. You can download and print that form here.
Ongoing Opportunities
River Stewards
River Stewards assist with and/or lead land stewardship projects. Projects might include habitat restoration, exotic species removal, trail maintenance and river clean-up events. Training is provided for each project. As an added benefit, River Stewards are invited on a guided canoe trip designed especially for stewards. Stewards are also eligible to go along on canoe trips that are not fully booked.

There are a variety of opportunities within the Parties for the Parkway program for potential volunteers. The Parties committee plans future seasons of parties including soliciting for donations and hosts. Occasionally, hosts will request help for specific parties.
We need a consistent and trustworthy volunteer to aid with the data management of the Parties' system. If you have a few hours a week to spare and are interested in event coordination and experience, fill out this form to volunteer with us.

Throughout the year, the River Parkway Trust goes out into the community at different venues to share with others the benefits of the San Joaquin River Parkway. When needing to promote our properties or upcoming events, volunteers are the backbone in getting the word out to the community.
