Sarah Parkes, Program Director
River Camp and Young Explorers Camp are held at Scout Island, a beautiful 85-acre outdoor education facility owned and operated by the Fresno County Office of Education. The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is proud to partner with the FCOE to bring outdoor education to the children in our community. Camps for older youth are held at Owl Hollow, a six-acre property with river frontage near the Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies on Old Friant Road.
Parent volunteers are welcome at River Camp! Available volunteer positions include staffing the first aid table and acting as lifeguard assistants. Call 559-248-8480 ext 107 for details.
Are you a member of the River Parkway Trust? Can you imagine a summer without River Camp? The Trust's members make education programs like River Camp, field trips, canoe trips, and more possible. That's not all; your membership donation supports the creation and protection of the 22-mile San Joaquin River Parkway. You'll be helping to protect land for future generations (like your River Camper). Please consider adding a membership donation to your registration, and remember that members receive a discount on camp registration fees. Click here to become a member today.
