Young children thrive with unhurried time in a natural setting. At Scout Island, your young camper will spend time looking for signs of wildlife, exploring the river's habitats, and learning about the native plants and animals that make the river their home. Each day we'll focus on a theme and your camper will participate in singing, arts and crafts, dramatic play, and other hands on activities led by our staff of experienced River Camp counselors. There will be time for wading in the river with life jackets each day before it's time to go home. A parent or grandparent is welcome to stay and join the fun. Young Explorers Camp is held Tuesday through Thursday mornings.
Ages: 3 1/2 years old through Kindergarten
Dates: June 18-20, June 25-27, July 9-11, July 16-18, July 23-25, July 30-August 1, August 6-8, August 13-15
Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Cost: $90 or $80 for members
