Parties for the Parkway 2007
15 years of Parties for the Parkway
2007 will be the 15th year of our fundraising series of events, Parties for the Parkway! The funds raised by Parties for the Parkway are transformed into new trails, restored habitat for wildlife, and recreation and education programs that connect people of all ages with nature. These funds also enable the Trust to keep the Coke Hallowell Center for River Studies (the River Center) open to the public free of charge on weekends and to host many community programs. We are most grateful to all who have contributed to Parties for the Parkway over the years.
The 2007 party season kicks off on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Regency Palace. Reservations will be accepted soon.
Many talented artists and photographers, party hosts, chefs and party committee members have all volunteered their expertise toward producing yet another year of fantastic parties. If you like to party for a cause, plan to be at the kickoff party! Many of our one-of-a-kind events sell out during the kickoff, and kickoff attendees also have the opportunity to purchase the original works of art that illustrate each party. The 2007 art auction promises to be the largest ever, with 81 pieces of very fine art. The art will be displayed at Fresno City Hall from January 30, to February 25, 2007. Silent bids on all artwork will be accepted during that period.
Very generous and talented local artists donate all of the art used to illustrate the Parties for the Parkway catalog. An Artist Reception in their honor will be held at Fresno City Hall on Wednesday, February 7, 2007. Please save these important dates and plan to join us!
