Inclusion Programs
In partnership with the Central Valley Regional Center, the River Parkway Trust is offering registrations for our Weekend Youth and Family programs to CVRC clients free of cost. Space is limited; CVRC Service Coordinator information will be required during registration. Parents are expected to stay on site with your youth participant for all programs. Most programs take place at or nearby the River Center, located at 11605 Old Friant Rd, Fresno. To register you must be a CVRC client.
Seasonal Family Hikes
Join the River Parkway Trust for 3 family-friendly hikes this fall! These events consist of interactive activities aligned with the month's theme, followed by a guided hike along the Parkway. All ages are welcome. Inclusion participants register for all 3 hikes. Additional information will be sent to registrants approximately 7 days prior to each event.
Saturday 10/21 - Halloween Night Hike - 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Saturday 11/11 - Harvest Hike - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

River Buddies Weekend Explorers
Bring your Weekend Explorer out for a morning of exploration! Each River Buddies event will explore different nature themes at the picturesque River Center. Come enjoy a nature walk, create a craft, explore, and participate in a variety of hands-on activities, all related to the nature theme of the day! This program is for youth ages 3.5-Kindergarten. Inclusion participants register for all 3 program dates. Additional information will be sent to registrants approximately 7 days prior to each event.

Little Explorers Toddler Time
Little Explorers is a time for you and your little one to explore the outdoors together and practice fine motor skills, cooperation, and increased social interactions. Bringing parents and kids together during Toddler Time promotes enrichment and entertainment for your little one while also allowing you to channel your inner child. It's a win-win for all! Activities are loosely guided and based on the interests of youth participants. This program is for youth ages 3-4. Additional information will be sent to registrants approximately 7 days prior to each event.

Weekend Youth Naturalist
The Weekend Youth Naturalist Program aims to equip the next generation with skills to be natural explorers and stewards of the Earth through fun, exploratory learning activities. Each trip includes a nature hike, scientific exploration activity, game, and sensory or experiential activity at a property along the San Joaquin River Parkway. Inclusion participants register for all 3 program dates. This program is for youth ages 6-11. Additional information will be sent to registrants approximately 7 days prior to each event.

Fall River Camp Mini-Camps
The leaves are changing, it’s time for an adventure! Bring your campers out for two days of exploration at the River Center and Owl Hollow. Together we will explore the transformation of our environment this time of year brings, search for acorns and seasonal plants, and of course enjoy camp classic songs and activities. This two-day camp session provides the unique opportunity to observe migratory animals across two of the River Parkway Trust's properties. The Trust will be holding two mini-camp sessions in the fall of 2023.

All session dates take place from 9 am - 4 pm each day and meet at the River Center in Northeast Fresno (near Friant and Copper).
