One of Carolyn’s favorite pastimes as a child was exploring the wooded areas and beaches near her home in the Pacific Northwest. That environment strongly influenced her direction in art. The beautiful forms, textures, and colors found in the natural world still continue to intrigue her today and often provide the subject matter for her artwork.

Following graduation from an interior design school, Carolyn formed her own design firm in southern California which she ran for eighteen years. In 2000 she and her husband retired to the Sierra foothills and she began to pursue her art full-time.

Her work has received a variety of local and regional awards and can be seen at Timberline Art Gallery in Oakhurst, Oakhurst Frameworks, The Circle Gallery in Madera, Sierra Art Trails Annual Open Studio Tour and on her website
