Calling all high schoolers! Join us out at Sumner Peck Ranch (14439 N Friant Rd) for a late afternoon of exploring nature, teambuilding activities, and kayaking!

• Teambuilding: Put your communication skills to the test with a variety of games. Prepare to complete various puzzles, find yourself blindfolded and more! Masks will be required/available for a $1 fee.

• Night Hike: No flashlights necessary! As our eyes adjust to low light, we will hike around Sumner Peck Ranch searching for nocturnal creatures. Once our eyes have fully adjusted, we will conduct science experiments to better understand how night vision works and the benefits it brings to many creatures. We will use a variety of owl calls to see if we have any feathered friends nearby. Your guide will discuss various plants, animals, and natural history as you explore orchards and our riparian surroundings.

• Sunset Kayaking: Take your communication skills on the water! We will watch the sun set from our kayaks on a calm section of the San Joaquin River. There will be time to explore as well as play some exciting leadership activities while we kayak.

This adventure requires attendees to be in high school to participate and will last approximately 4 hours. Please note that there is a $40.00 fee per participant and advanced registration with online payment is required for participation. Please bring a water bottle, snack, and mask to have on hand. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Dress appropriately for an afternoon/evening outdoors and wear shoes that can get wet/muddy.Full refunds for cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance; no refunds for late cancellations or no-shows.
