The City of Fresno (City) will be the Lead Agency and will have a Focused Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) prepared for the Tapestry III project located on the San Joaquin River bluff between Riverbottom Park and Camp Pashayan. The City released a Notice of Preparation for the FEIR on June 4, and the public comment period will end on July 6, 2021.
The City will hold a Public Scoping Meeting to solicit public input and comments on the scope and content of the environmental information to be included in the FEIR. In it's NOP documentation, the City notes that potential environmental effects include:
Air Quality; Geology and Soils; Greenhouse Gas Emissions; Noise; and Transportation
The Project proposes to amend the City's General Plan and rezone approximately 15-acres of land from regional park/open space to medium density residential development. The City's Park Masterplan outlines the significant need for more park space. The Trust is also concerned about the future impacts on Camp Pashayan, the Fresno County Horse Park, Riverbottom Park, and the San Joaquin River Restoration Program.
Please join the public scoping meeting and make your voice heard.
