February River Stewards Work Day

Calling all River Stewards! join us for our first River Stewards volunteer work day of 2020. We need your help to plant native trees and shrubs at the Jensen River Ranch Habitat Enhancement Project. Leave a lasting mark on the River Parkway by helping us restore this property along the river.

Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. All equipment is provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own work or gardening gloves if able.

Volunteers will meet at the gate to the property before driving into the project site. Please carpool as much as possible.

To get there from Fresno:

  • Head north on Highway 41 and exit at Friant Road towards Woodward Park
  • Continue past the park on Friant and make your first left onto Rice Road
  • The gate to the property is approximately 600-feet ahead on your left
  • Look for the River Parkway Trust Sign and Trust staff will meet you at the gate

Please contact Jake Salimbene, jsalimbene@riverparkway.org with any questions.
