December River Stewards Work Day

Registration is closed for this event

Help us grow a new future on the San Joaquin River! We are planting an incredible 16,000 native trees and shrubs this fall and winter as we continue our habitat enhancement work around a former mining pit. It will take a community effort to complete this massive revegetation project so sign up today. This event will run from 9:00am until noon and is a great opportunity for all individuals and groups. There is no longterm commitment and all tools are provided.

We will meet at the gate to the property located at the corner of Riverview Drive and Bluff Avenue. To get there from Fresno:

  • Exit highway 41 North at Friant Road
  • Turn Right (northeast) onto Friant Road towards Woodward Park
  • Turn Left (west) onto Audubon Drive and continue past the park and across the overpass
  • Turn Right onto Del Mar Avenue and then make your first left onto Riverview Drive. The gate will be straight ahead.

Save time by printing and filling out a volunteer service agreement from our River Stewards webpage and bring it with you. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.

Take care to protect yourself from the heat. Bring a refillable water bottle, put on sunscreen, and wear a hat.
